Mediaspelare Copyright and DMCA Policy

Last updated: October 28, 2026

How Mediaspelare handles copyright infringement notices: what a notice must contain, how we review it and how to dispute a removal.

Our policy

Mediaspelare respects intellectual property. We follow a notice-and-takedown procedure based on the US Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA). It does not replace any reporting procedure provided by the law that applies to you. Every complete notice is reviewed.

If you believe that content available through Mediaspelare infringes your copyright, let us know so we can review it and take appropriate action.

What a notice must include

A valid notice includes the following information.

1. Your contact details

  • your full name, or the name of the organization you represent;
  • a way to reach you.

2. The copyrighted work

  • the copyrighted work you believe has been infringed;
  • a description detailed enough for us to understand your notice.

3. Where the content is

  • the exact place where the content appears in the service;
  • as much detail as possible: channel name, title, date and time of broadcast.

4. Your statements

  • a statement that you believe in good faith that the use of the content is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent or the law;
  • a statement that the information in your notice is accurate and that you are authorized to act on behalf of the copyright owner;
  • your physical or electronic signature.

How a notice is handled

  1. You send your notice with all of the information above.
  2. We check that it is complete and valid.
  3. We act: valid notices are reviewed and may lead to the removal of, or the blocking of access to, the reported content, in line with the applicable rules.

Inaccurate notices

Anyone who knowingly and materially misrepresents that content is infringing may be held liable. If in doubt, consult a legal professional before sending a notice.

Counter-notice

If you believe content was removed by mistake, you can send a counter-notice the same way. It includes:

  • your name and a way to reach you;
  • the content that was removed or to which access was blocked;
  • a statement that you believe in good faith that the removal was the result of a mistake;
  • your physical or electronic signature.
